Okay, before we talk about being a better self, I should know about the concept of change first.
To change neither habits
nor behavior, I have to understand the reason. Why should I change?
There are reasons why three people need to change.
1. Feeling stuck -->
when we feel trapped or emotionally attached to where we are in life
2. Underestimate self
--> afraid of making mistakes, feel held back, have a big fear, feel have
more to give or do
3. Something isn't
working --> still the same, have the same goals for years even though we
have tried
The reason why I need to
change is I'm feeling stuck in the same place. My life doesn't change, although
I've tried.
Okay, let's move to the next
question. How?
1.
Pick
a fresh start
Okay, I'll go with New Year's. Why? Because I still have responsibilities, both
in academics and organization. It will distract me. So I'll go on January 1st.
I also downloaded the School Planner App to help me organize the tasks. I forgot
to put the school timeline on the app, although I had BRP. So please remind to
put the task, so you'll know when you need to rest, hang out, or study
2.
Make
it easy
It is about the goals. They said the biggest mistake is starting with too big
and complex goals. Like they were not achievable. Okay. There are three goals
that I want to achieve next year
- Being healthy --> cause I rarely exercise. Let's do 1 hour every Sunday.
From 7-8.
- fluent in English, German, and Italian (HMMMM) --> Okay, let's do 1 hour of
studying for each language every week. Goals: B2 eng, A2 Italiano and german by
June
- Get a 3.8 GPA. --> PLEASE always study all the topics you've learned EVERY
DAY. And please do the task at the moment. DONT EVER be a deadliner, AGAIN
3.
Join
a community
Umm... I'm not sure about this. I think I will stop joining the legislative
organization because I have had enough. So I tend to join some projects like
OKK or UKM that'll make me happy, not a burden. And I'll join about the nursing
community, maybe, a webinar or workshop. AND Nufa, do the volunteer or intern
4.
Acknowledge
the stage
Yoo I'd learned this in
health promotion. Sooooooo do it with your knowledge girl
5.
Set
the goals
Okay, I've downloaded the worksheet and I'll upload it here asap. But the thing
about how I effectively go about setting and achieving my goals is to try
taking my emotional temperature (?) what is that? ._. ouch, it's complicated.
Wait, I need to read first.
Okay, I am done. So for 2022, my goals is going to be focused on so many areas
:)
SPIRITUAL : recite, hafalin lagi juz 30 nya, solat sunnahnya yaallah
HEALTH : olahraga tolong ya neng
BUSINESS: wang wang wang, gue gatau gimana caranya but next year you have to
work
FRIENDS: Need be increased because you'll live there w/o family or literal
friend
FAMILY Call them often, every 8.
PERSONAL PASSIONS: learn languages and spend more time in the library
6.
Have accountability
OMG, I've learned it too. As a professional, of course, I should. But in this
case, I have to be responsible for my goals. So if i don't do that, i have to
do a lil punishment.
Okay. Here are some options: can't open twitter, not allowed to drink vanilla
latte, have to sell some pcs, do charity and cant open youtube. Worst.
7.
exercise change
Change the routine. Okay I'll get back to this if i am in Depok
8. Change
the mental scripts
The
way we talk to ourselves is the way we think about ourselves
Okay
shanum. You can do it, princess. I know you can. You were limiting yourself.
For really, everyone didn't care if you ate or not today, nor how well you were.
So, don't ever blame yourself for everything, and don't underestimate
yourself.
9.
Captivating rewards
Umm... I'll think about it. But it would be seafood or vanilla ice cream at the
end of the month if you can achieve the goal.
